Our additional clinical team consists of specialised practitioners who are here to help you.

We offer appointments with our Social Prescribers and First Contact Physiotherapist. They can assist with a range of problems from feeling isolated to advice on back pain. 

Social Prescribers

Our social prescribing service is available to anyone over 18, who would like help to improve their health and wellbeing. A social prescriber is a non-clinical member of the team who you can talk to confidentially about support for your wellbeing. 

Our social prescribers are Lucy, Anthony and Kim and they work with patients at Burdwood Surgery, Falkland Surgery and Thatcham Medical Practice which is our Primary Care Network (PCN).

They can help you discover local self-help groups, clubs and befriending agencies to reduce feelings of isolation. They can help you become more active, get involved in your community and access social groups.

Musculoskeletal Specialist First Contact Physiotherapist

Our First Contact Physiotherapist (FCP) offers assessment and advice for those patients with a musculoskeletal problem such as back or neck pain, sprains or strains and sports injuries. The appointment involves assessment, diagnosis and first-line management. Our FCP can also refer patients for a course of physiotherapy treatment, order investigations or make referrals to specialist services.

Joseph is our First Contact Physiotherapist and works with us on Fridays. You can book an appointment with Joseph by calling reception.
