Younger People with Dementia (YPWD)
YPWD are a registered charity operating across the whole of Berkshire. They provide and run workshops / groups for people living with young onset dementia to help people live better and get the most from their lives. By providing these services, they offer respite to family members & carers.
The workshops are usually 2 hours in duration and upcoming activities include photography walks, harmony choir and kitchen gardening. The workshops run for blocks of 6 weeks and then the activity changes to something else.
It is available for patients who have been diagnosed with dementia under the age of 65. Patients can self-refer or you can speak to your GP, who can refer you to the service.
