Home Visits

Requesting a home visit

Whilst we encourage our patients to come to the surgery, where we have the proper equipment and facilities available, we do appreciate this is not always possible.

Our clinicians typically see four patients at the Practice in the time it takes to do a single home visit. For this reason, we ask our patients to come to the surgery if at all possible.

We can visit you at home if you are too ill to come into the surgery and it is clinically appropriate. You will be asked for a brief description why you need a home visit to determine the urgency. We usually ask for your telephone number so that the doctor can ring you prior to visiting to discuss your problem.

Please phone the surgery by 11:00am to arrange a home visit. After this time you will be seen by the duty doctor who may not be your usual GP.

You can also be visited at home by community clinicians if you are referred by your GP.
