Would you help us by giving a few minutes of your time to complete our Patient Participation Group Survey 2012, giving us feedback on our services...

Clinics

We run a range of clinics. For an appointment or further details,

please telephone us in advance (01635) 868006.

Antenatal (Midwife)

This clinic is run by the midwives. If you become pregnant you will be given a 'booking appointment' around eight to ten weeks, at which the midwife will ask you a few questions and carry out some general health checks. You will be seen reguarly throughout your pregnancy either at the practice or at the local hospital, or both.

Asthma

Asthma patients can book an appointment for advice and support from our Nurses who specialise in asthma care.

Diabetes

Led by our nursing team, this clinic offers advice and annual health check ups to patients diagnosed with diabetes.

Contraceptive Services

The surgery offers a full family planning service during routine surgery. Pill checks, coil, contraceptive implants, diaphragm and cap fitting can be arranged through your doctor or family planning nurse. Emergency contraception can be obtained by seeing a Doctor or the Nurse Practitioner.

Health Promotion Clinics

The Practice runs a variety of clinics. Details of times and days are available from Reception, where you may book appointments. Included are Cardiovascular, Hypertension, HRT and Weight Management clinics.

 Health Visitor Clinics

Health Visitors continue to monitor children under school age.

If you are concerned about vaccinations, please discuss this with a Health Visitor, Nurse or Doctor, who will give you informed advice. Annual flu vaccinations are available for all patients over 65 and those at risk, please call to check.

Minor Surgery

All doctors carry out Minor Surgical procedures. They will be happy to offer you advice on 'lumps and bumps' and arrange their removal if appropriate.

New Patients

We welcome new patients and ask you to complete a brief questionnaire for each member of the family because your old medical records take a while to be transferred. You will also be invited to attend a new patients check before completing the formal registration with the Practice. These forms are available on our website under 'Registration Form' or are available to collect from the Surgery.

to give up smoking.
